Applications to both the Pre-IB and IB programmes are due by the 1st of March for that calendar year. Aarhus Gymnasium considers late applications at our own discretion.

AARHUS GYMNASIUM's IB department uses OpenApply for admissions to the Pre-IB and IB programmes.

Please click here to start the application for admissions.

If you have further questions regarding application then please contact the school's IB staff.

For Danish students

If you are a Danish student, coming from the Danish 9th or 10th grade, you will need to apply through your ’UU-vejleder’. He or she will help you fill out a form on and write an education plan (’uddannelsesplan’). You will also need to fill out an application through OpenApply.

Your application will then be sent to the school, and you will later receive an acceptance letter if you have been admitted.
If you are a Danish student who has spent a year on a school exchange programme, you need to apply through your UU-vejleder and use OpenApply.

For international students

If you are an international student, coming from abroad, you need to apply through OpenApply.

Late applications

For late applications we kindly ask that you 1) send the application and requisite documentation via OpenApply and 2) arrange a meeting with the Pre-IB or IB Coordinator.

Choosing subjects

When choosing subjects, we advise applicants to seek information about individual Pre-IB and IB subjects, consider entry requirements for university courses where applicable and ask for advice from the staff at the school.

Open evening

The school holds an annual open evening in January to provide information about the school and its educational programmes and we warmly encourage potential applicants and their families to attend. The next Open Evening will be held in 2020.
